Roger Dale Schultz, Sr., 65, of 106 Wilburn Ave. died March 2, 2010. He was the son of the late Luther and Letha Mae Thigpen Schultz and the husband of Michelle Herrin Schultz of the home. Mr. Schultz was an insurance salesman and a dedicated detective with the City of Spartanburg, where he retired after 24 years of service and a veteran of the US Army.

Other survivors include: three sons; Roger Schultz Jr., Chuck Schultz & wife, Maggie all of Roebuck and Greg Schultz and wife, Lisa of Granitefalls, NC, three sisters; June Zimmerman of Garden City, SC, Kathy Sutton and husband, Paul of Kinley, NC and Debbie McLaren and husband, Rob of VA., eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a cousin; Joyce Rollins and special friends; Jim and Judy Burnett.

Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 6, 2010 at The Stribling Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 pm Friday, March 5, 2010 at The Stribling Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of a son; Roger Schultz, Jr., 1920 E. Blackstock Rd., Roebuck.
