Kathryn B. Cooper

Kathryn Bruce Cooper, 89, of 261 Zimmerman Rd., died Sunday, March 7, 2010. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the widow of Carl M. Cooper, and daughter of the late Elijah M. and Beatrice McCarter Bruce. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, The Mary Harley Sunday School Class, and a retired employee of Butte Knit.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Robert (Bobby) Bogan, and a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Ernestine Cooper, all of Lyman; three grandchildren, Travis and wife, Becky Bogan, of Pickens, Kristen and husband, Curtis Durham, and Scott Cooper, all of Lyman and a great grandson, Carson Durham of Lyman. Mrs. Cooper was predeceased by three sisters, Lavonia Barnett, Geneva Barton and Pauline Sloan.

Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Clark and Rev. Henry Stanford officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Honorary escorts will be members of the Mary Harley Sunday School Class.
